✨ Reaching New Heights ✨

When I first started working with this young student, he had been below target in both Reception and Year 1, but his determination and growth have been nothing short of inspiring!

✨ A Journey of Progress ✨

When I first met this little one, they were feeling confident with reading single letter sounds but they found sounds that involved two letters together a little more challenging. 

In our sessions, we’ve built on the sounds they were already confident with, gone back over sounds when we’ve needed to and they’ve built their confidence in each area before we’ve moved onto the next step. 

Their self belief, attitude to reading and confidence has flourished.  They’ve gone from finding reading tricky to their mum noticing that they’re trying to read everything from the games they play to different street signs!

✨ A Journey to SATs Success ✨

When I first started working with this student, reading felt like an uphill challenge. She was struggling to keep up, and her confidence was low. But with focused support, we worked together to fill in any gaps and build a solid foundation in her reading skills.

With each session, she grew more confident as she tackled new texts and built up her comprehension skills. It’s been such a joy to see her self-belief grow as we celebrated each milestone!

All her hard work paid off when she proudly passed her reading SATs and enjoys reading so much she joined her school's book club! What an amazing way to start the next chapter of her school career.

✨ From Intervention to Independence ✨

It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of this student’s journey. When we first met they were receiving phonics and reading intervention in school as they were finding these elements of learning tricky. 

Through our work together - a mix of personalised 1:1 and small group sessions - I’ve seen her confidence blossom. She’s now so confident with these areas of learning and she no longer requires intervention sessions at school! 

The fact that she used to find reading challenging but now looks forward to our lessons together is truly wonderful. 

✨ A Journey to Confidence ✨

When I first met this student, they were finding phonics tricky. They were feeling confident with their single letter sounds (such as b or a) but the pace of classroom sessions were becoming too quick. They were finding it tricky to remember the sounds they’d previously looked at and the new ones they were constantly being taught. 

Together we have looked at creating strong foundations for both his reading and spelling. It has been wonderful to see his confidence grow in each session as he’s mastered each sound and we’ve celebrated every success along the way! 

At the end of the year, his teacher noted his remarkable progress, commenting on how he was much more willing to have a go on his own in class and we were all thrilled when he proudly passed the phonics screening!
